Mizuno Irons

You are viewing results 1 to 9 of 9 You are viewing results 1 to 9 of 9 Mizuno is unquestionably the world's leading iron forger. But what is that reputation built on? Masao Nagai, Mizuno's director of global golf Reseach and Development, reveals the secrets of the company's iron-making process, and explains why they translate into a more controllable and consistent weapon in your hand. The forging process produces greater consistency and quality in the metal. Casting may be a more economical way to produce clubs - a cast head costs about half as much to produce as a forged head. But the downside of casting is that when the metal is poured into the mould, it always traps tiny bubbles inside the metal structure. We can go back to the freezer; no matter how carefully you pour the water, there are always bubbles in the ice. These bubbles make the face inconsistent; two shots from almost the same place can produce very different results, any big bubbles are trapped, this can be the origin a crack or breakage. Mizuno's latest irons is the MP-68. Assimilating the best features of Mizuno's great blades with an enhanced feel, the MP-68 delivers exact shot-making for professionals and highly skilled amateurs. After research into vibration and sound (modal analysis), Mizuno R&D specified the frequencies required to create pure feedback and also the techniques by which to deliver them. MP-68's scalloped muscle back and shorter hosel allow a lower, more centered COG location for a penetrating, workable ball flight. Neutral bias allows shots to be shaped both left and right.Basket Summary Your shopping basket is empty Contact Us Customer Reviews Delivery Information Secure Online Shopping
