East Anglian Under 12 Junior Golf Championship
Tony Dobson, the PGA Professional at Stonham Barns Golf Centre has been running the East Anglian Junior Under 12 Championship since 2001. The event is open to all juniors, boys and girls, from 4 to 12 years old and is played over 18 holes at the Stonham Barns 9 hole course (twice round the 9 hole course).
The overall winner received the Stonham Barns Trophy and becomes the East Anglian Under 12 Junior Champion for 2010.
In addition there are 4 age categories :
- East Anglian Junior Golf Championship - UNDER 6
- East Anglian Junior Golf Championship - UNDER 8
- East Anglian Junior Golf Championship - UNDER 10
- East Anglian Junior Golf Championship - UNDER 12
Stonham Barns runs 7 events through the year for youngsters to experience playing in Junior Golf Tournaments in a friendly relaxed environment. We welcome any juniors whatever their standard or ability. The events are usually the last Sunday of each month from April to November and include the Wee Wonders Qualifying in May, the East Anglian Under 12 Junior Golf Championship in June and the Stonham Barns Players Championship in November. These events will require entry in advance. All the other 4 events juniors can just turn up on the day any play 9 holes anytime between 10am and 1pm. There will be prizes for all the different age categories, Under 8, Under 10 and Under 12. We welcome both girls and boys of ages between 4 and 12.
